My Story

 I have always had a strong desire to create art from a young age. I loved drawing and building models and was guided by a lot of people encouraging me to keep at it. A big influence in my life was Enloe High School. I was  allowed to concentrate in art and fell in love with printmaking. I continued my studies at East Carolina University, School of Art, receiving a bachelors degree in printmaking in 1991. I loved creating art with children and became an art director with the Boys and Girls Club for several years. I decided to return to school and received my masters degree in fine arts from the University of South Florida in 1996. My life almost came full circle when I was offered a teaching position at Enloe. I have been teaching art for over 25 years at Enloe, encouraging my students to find their passion and be their creative best.
